Comment by Hector Rodriguez on April 7, 2010 at 11:43pm: According to www.theracc.com there is a road race this year at ROB. I did this a three years ago while at the NCO acad. It was actually my first road race and I did it back when Deb Ponzio was running things on a bike Les Handy was nice enough to loan me. The course is on Rheinmein (sp) Ord Barracks. The finish was a sweeping right with a 100 yard sprint. Pretty fun.

UPDATE: One of the RACC guys posted a road race on the K-town weekend, so it looks like there are three total road races.

Comment by Hector Rodriguez on March 4, 2010 at 9:59pm: Sorry, Kevin. It looks that way. Last year there were supposed to be 3, but Rammstein pulled out. The first year I did the series there were actually 5. After Debra Ponzio left the whole road thing almost died. Not sure why. We know now from experience that organizing a road race isn't impossible, I guess none of the base have organized riders or something.

Comment by Hector Rodriguez on March 4, 2010 at 1:50pm: Those are run by the Fitness Center. They usually start when it warms up a bit. Nothing really says we can't start our own rides earlier though;)

Rob mentioned it to me briefly that its held every wensday over the course of a few weeks and then all time totals from those days are tallied up to determin the racers place. Anybody know when this starts and the dates of them?
